AppsforAgri takes over NBAWS.

AppsforAgri took over agro meteorological bureau Nieveen & Bouma Agro Weather services (NBAWS) per 1 November.  In recent years NBAWS has developed many algorithms for the calculation of disease pressure and the optimal use of crop protection agents. With the professional IT knowledge of AppsforAgri and the substansive meteorological knowledge of NWABS we will enter more smart products and services on the market for an optimal and sustainable agriculture. 

Nieveen & Bouma Agro Weather Services 

NBAWS is specialised on the influence of the weather on cropprotection and the development of diseases and pests and weeds. Since its establishment in 2007, models have been developed for over 25 crops that map disease pressure and also provide advice for the required application moment of plant protection agents for a number of crops.
Another unique feature is the SprayWeatherWise model. This model calculates the optimal effectiveness and application moment for plant protection products. The SprayWeatherWise model provides both financial and sustainable benefits for users and suppliers of crop protection.

NBAWS has provided services for companies like: OCI Agro, Agrifirm, Adama, Van Oers United, WeatherOnline LDT and 365 FarmNet.
